Sewer Line Repair

The biggest sign of a failing sewer line is noises after you flush the toilet.

If you flush the toilet and you hear a gurgle, that’s a big one. If you’re running water somewhere in the home and your toilet is bubbling, that’s another one. Or, if you go to flush the toilet and it doesn’t flush or there’s water sewage coming up in your shower or tub, those are all pretty good signs that there’s an issue going on.

We will take a look at what’s going on and put a camera in the pipe if it’s necessary. A camera is the best way to diagnose a problem because it can see a lot more than we can.

Trenchless Repair Options

We can do a patch, a CIPP liner, and in some cases we can directionally bore the sewer line.

There are problems that pop up with each one of those options, however, that require us to dig. Just because it’s an option doesn’t mean we can guarantee you a trenchless option. Trenchless is really for if you have an HoA that will not let you tear up a landscape, or there’s a retaining wall right where the problem is. In those cases, trenchless isn’t an option, it’s a requirement.

So, there are certain scenarios where you have to go trenchless, but really, 9 out of 10 times on jobs, we can do an excavation method and we can pull the permits that would need to be required for that.

No matter what, we’re going to resolve the issue at hand and then we’re going to give you a guarantee on our repair. We have some guarantees that are good for five years, but our average repair is good for a year.

Sewer Line Repair Process

First, we need to diagnose the issue with the camera. Then we’re going to use a locator. We’re going to find out where and how deep the issue lies. Then we’re going to come up with an excavation game plan (or a trenchless game plan) on how we’re going to tackle this and present the options to you.

Once you approve an option, we’re going to call in 811 utility locates to have them come out and mark any underground utilities that we can’t see. Then, we’ll get either our excavator out on site, depending on the depth, we can get our OSHA approved trash boxes, or our excavation team on site to assist with getting that pipe exposed. If we go a trenchless route, we’ll bring the proper materials to your home and the proper equipment to get the trenchless method done.

We’ll get it opened up, we’ll get in there, we’ll do the repair, make sure everything’s working, make sure everything’s flowing, make sure the pipe is bedded right. We’re going to bury it back, wrap the job up.

For trenchless, we’ll get in there, we’ll put the patch in, or we’ll put the liner in, or we’ll bore the sewer line. We’ll make our connections if we bore it, or we’ll make sure the liner is cured. Before we leave, we’ll confirm everything with a camera inspection and wrap the job up.
