Bathroom Plumbing
As a plumbing company, we see trends come and go. Currently, we’re seeing lots of rainhead showers, and bidets getting installed in homes. A lot of people are going for the one-piece toilets as well as bidets.
With showers, we’re seeing people favor larger options. People are actually opting to get rid of Bathtubs in smaller homes and go with just a large shower with multiple heads, hand sprays, body sprays and lots of space.
Additionally, we’re installing lots of freestanding tubs. Jacuzzi tubs are prone to leak and break, so there’s some distance in that area, but the look and functionality of a free-standing tub is appealing to our modern-day market.
Common Bathroom Plumbing Problems
Bathroom plumbing problems are common to every household. Here are some of the most frequent repair jobs that we’re called about:
- Toilets: running toilets, leaking flappers, high pressure. A lot of times this leads to a fill valve going bad, causing it to continuously run and the water level to rise.
- Showers and Bathtubs: Lots of clogged drains, lots of hair build up. They just don't get it out and it clogs them up. Slow drains. A lot of times we see a lot of calcium buildup in showers, primarily tile showers. We have to scrape that out. It builds up really thick. Hard as a rock.
Hot Water Supply Upgrades
If you have an older home, we can upgrade your hot water system with a recirculating pump to get hot water to your bathroom much faster. In most cases, your water will heat up within 5 seconds, compared to waiting one or two minutes for it to get hot.
A circulating pump can make a big difference in getting hot water where you need it quickly. And if you have a large freestanding tub or a big soaker tub, or if you have a large family with everyone bathing around the same time, installing a tankless water heater can provide unlimited hot water whenever you need it.
